when deciding what comes next II
Now, Ephesians 5 was a really powerful source of instruction for me on this topic.
Ephesians 5:1 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children"
When deciding what comes next, imitate Christ in whatever you do.
Ephesians 5:8 "walk as children of light"
Walk as children of light and not of darkness. Allow Christ's light to shine through your life and work.
Ephesians 5:10 "and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord"
When deciding what comes next, use discernment and wisdom to understand what is pleasing to the Lord and probably avoid those activities that do not please the Lord or that are mainly a result of self centeredeness.
Ephesians 5:14 "and Christ will shine on you"
When deciding what comes next, whether graduate school or a job, be sure that Christ is shining on and through you.
Ephesians 5:16 "making the best use of the time, because the days are evil"
When deciding what comes next, do not waste your time foolishly! Make good use of your time for the expansion of the kingdom of God.
Ephesians 5:17 "do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is"
When deciding what is next, understand clearly what is the will of God.
